Description

The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles seeks a motivated, detail-oriented and creative individual who can support our Summer Festival and Will Power to Youth production teams. A successful candidate will have excellent time management & communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Intern will split their time between production duties at the SCLA studio in Downtown Los Angeles and our outdoor performance location at the West LA VA campus.

Qualifications

The prospective intern should have the ability to communicate effectively on the phone, in person and in writing, including strong organizational and time management skills. The intern must be dependable and punctual, with a sense of humor and passion for the performing arts in general and live theatre in particular.

Candidates must be familiar with Microsoft Excel and have strong research skills. The intern must be flexible regarding working hours and able to work some evenings/weekends including day of performances. The Intern will need to provide their own transportation to and from the workspace and performance venues, and have no transportation barriers to working in Downtown Los Angeles.
The candidate selected must have a valid California driver's license and insurance.
