Description

Tierra is seeking an Art Marketing Intern to help organize, market, and sell artwork, culminating in a virtual exhibition. Artists who work at Tierra’s studios create work throughout the year. However, this artwork has not been sold via a centralized marketing and management strategy. Through this project, the intern will advance Tierra’s mission, vision, and values by expanding the impact of the artists’ work, reaching new audiences, and making it possible for people to appreciate the individual contributions of these artists, regardless of the fact that they have disabilities. This position will work approximately 15-20 hours per week from June 2021 through March 2022.

Qualifications

Tierra is looking for someone with a passion for art and social justice, is self-motivated, can work independently or collaboratively, and is able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, expanding environment. During the pandemic, applicants should be comfortable working remotely and taking meeting via Zoom. Tierra is a drug- and alcohol-free work environment. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements found here: https://www.lacountyarts.org/opportunities/arts-internship-program-students/eligibility. New hires must pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical, drug screen, and TB test. Tierra is the leading provider of independent living, job training, and support services for adults with developmental disabilities. We strive to help associates reach their goals through education, employment, and the arts. This is an opportunity to grow in the arts/human services profession and to make meaningful contributions in a friendly and supportive work environment.
