The arts marketing and communications internship at Woodcraft Rangers will help the agency tell the story of arts impact to build its brand and showcase its culturally relevant multi-disciplinary offerings for ages 4-18. From mariachi and hip hop to drumline and musical theater, Woodcraft Rangers offers a wide range of unique and exciting arts education offerings and the arts marketing intern will write, curate, and design ways to tell the digital and IRL worlds about them! This internship will be fully remote and work about 20 hours a week from September through January, with an opportunity to transition into the office if it reopens.
The intern must have strong writing and communication skills and an interest in youth-focused arts programming. The intern should be a self-starter, who, with direction, can work independently on definable projects. They should be familiar with varied research techniques, organized with strong attention to detail, and have the capacity to help devise action plans and timelines. The intern must also have good people skills, the ability to work with a team, and meet deadlines. The intern must have basic knowledge of photography/videography. Graphic design experience a plus! The intern must also be comfortable with Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet research, and social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Experience managing and/or contributing to brand or project development (including personal) is a plus, but not required. Familiarity and experience with WordPress, Constant Contact, and the Adobe Creative Suite are also preferred, but not required.
