The Program and Administrative Intern will collaborate with YMF’s program staff and Teaching Artists in supporting remote music programming, as well as in the development and build-out of YMF’s Online Music Academy. The intern will assist with administration of programming, community engagement, and the general operations of a fast-paced nonprofit organization. The intern’s primary project will focus on the administrative support in the development of YMF’s newest initiative in response to Covid-19, our Online Music Academy, through the transfer of lessons and content from our beta site to a new LMS, in addition to aspects of coordination and administrative support for our fall programs. This is a remote position that may transition to on site if conditions with the pandemic change. This internship will have flexible hours from August through December.


Applicants should have a demonstrated passion for creating access to arts education and an interest in music and/or education. Successful applicants will possess basic knowledge of music theory and a high level of organizational, multitasking, and office suite skills (Apple OS, Google Suite). They may also have an interest in educational research, social media, and communications.
