Young Storytellers survives because of the incredible community supporting our work, and the Community Support Intern will get hands-on experience with the mix of research and outreach required to consciously and considerately build community relationships and partnerships. This position will engage multiple skillsets, from researching and identifying potential community-based partners in all parts of Los Angeles to actively contributing to the discussion about best practices for defining, developing, and maintaining meaningful and reciprocal relationships with community organizations, including schools, colleges, and universities. Grounding this experience will be a project of constructing a calendar of activities to ensure impactful touch points and strong relationships with our volunteer community.
