Tanya Aguiniga

About

Tanya Aguiniga explores the interconnectedness of societies, the beauty of struggle and the celebration of culture. She uses design to translate emotions into three-dimensional objects that tell stories through color and touch. Her work has been exhibited from Mexico City to Milan and has been in major publications such as Wallpaper magazine and Pure Design, Objects of Desire. Aguiniga received a BA in Furniture Design from San Diego State University and an MFA in Furniture Design from the Rhode Island School of Design. She has been awarded a United States Artists Fellowship and was named a USA Target Fellow in the field of Crafts and Traditional Arts.
