Description

This internship offers the opportunity to help shape Third House: A Community Art Studio in Van Nuys by developing storytelling, digital media, and program coordination skills that support arts programming and community engagement. The intern will document artists and events, create content for social media, and assist with workshops and exhibitions while learning the inner workings of a nonprofit arts organization. This position will work approximately 15-20 hours a week from June through December, 2026.
 

Qualifications

Applicants should have strong written and verbal communication skills, with an interest in storytelling and community arts. Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok is preferred, along with basic photo, video, or graphic design skills. The position requires reliability, organization, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a creative environment. An interest in arts programming, community engagement, and learning about nonprofit arts administration is highly valued. Strong knowledge of the San Fernando Valley is mandatory.
