"Working collaboratively with AGCC’s education team, the intern will have the opportunity to learn about, build, and assist in progressive arts education programs for all ages. The Arts Education Intern will help to promote and implement programs at AGCC, including public art workshops taught at the Center, as well as the Artists-in-Classrooms in-school program, along with other arts and cultural events. The Intern will participate in administrative activities to gain knowledge about an arts nonprofit’s daily operations, gallery and studio artists programs, event promotion, grant writing, and arts education advocacy.
This is a part-time, paid, approximately 12-week internship, June through September, that is flexible dependent on the intern’s availability.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- An enthusiasm for the arts, for arts education, and a passion for bringing high-quality arts
programming to underserved communities
- Major in art, arts education, museum studies and/or art history preferred
- Knowledge of MS Office, including Excel and Word
- A familiarity with Adobe CS software preferred
- Curiosity and problem solving
- Customer service experience is a plus

- Reliable form of transportation is required, as the Angels Gate Cultural Center is not easily accessible via public transportation.
