Join us for Building Capacity in Arts Education

This hands-on workshop serves as an introduction to the Visual and Performing Art Standards and how to apply them to in-school and out-of-school projects. Learn about best practices in program development and how to design curriculum samples that show off your strengths.

NOTE: Arts education organizations considering applying for the Organizational Grant Program for the first time, or who are returning but seeking to strengthen their applications, are encouraged to attend.

 

PRESENTER:
GILLIAN MCCARTHY is Program Manager with the LA County Arts Ed Collective. Previously, she  was Associate Director of Professional Development at Inner-City Arts where she oversaw the implementation of creativity and arts programming for classroom teachers, teaching artists and graduate students. Gillian also served as Associate Director of the Artist in Residence and Teacher Partnership program for the Music Center of LA County’s Education Division where she facilitated extended, in-depth artist residencies at schools across Southern California.
