Session 1: The Silk Road and the Cave Temples of Dunhuang

This arts education professional development series is designed for secondary teachers, arts coordinators, secondary administrators, and assistant superintendents. The workshops frame the importance of the arts to engage and maximize student learning.

Participants engage in activities to create multidisciplinary and project-based teaching in alignment with California State Standards including History/Social Studies, English Language Arts, Science, and Visual and Performing Arts. Resources include video of modeled strategies, art works, lesson plans, and scholarly research.
