Description

The Program and Production Intern will learn about being an arts educator and the animation filmmaking process while they participate in delivering Film2Future's intensive animated filmmaking program. As an intern with Film2Future, they will meet hundreds of film industry professionals, growing their network as well as their skill set. This position will be part-time (approx. 20 hours/week, including some Saturdays) from June 1 to June 23. It will then be full-time (40 hours/week) from June 24 to August 9, including Saturdays, and then the student will have until October to fulfill the remaining internship hours while completing a larger end-of-internship.

Qualifications

* Knowledge of animation production workflow, with a demonstrated skill set in at least one area of the process (such as writing, drawing, editing, sound design, etc.) * Commitment to the mission of Film2Future, specifically that of elevating the voices of emerging filmmakers from underserved communities and building a more inclusive Hollywood * Enthusiasm for working on a diverse team and learning from the perspectives and experiences of others with different backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences * Ability to do online research and distill lessons learned 

Background

Film2Future provides a pipeline for underserved LA youth to achieve careers in the entertainment industry, offering free, intensive filmmaking education led by industry volunteers. Film2Future then launches the careers of our emerging filmmakers by helping them secure paid internships and jobs across the entertainment landscape. With this work, we strive to achieve our mission of building a more diverse and inclusive Hollywood.
