Description

The intern will work closely with J.U.i.C.E. leadership and artist facilitators to help bring our hip-hop based arts programs to life through music, dance, and visual art. They will gain hands-on experience in program coordination, event planning, and community engagement while learning the operations of a small, mission-driven arts nonprofit. The intern will spearhead a signature project, showcasing their creativity and leadership while making a direct impact on our community of artists.  This position requires approximately 15–20 hours per week from August 2026 through February 2027 (totaling about 400 hours).
 

Qualifications

Ideal candidates are passionate about hip-hop culture, community arts, and creativity. We’re seeking students who are organized, creative, and eager to collaborate in a dynamic arts environment. Interest in event planning, digital media, social engagement, or arts leadership is a plus, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn matter most. Applicants should be self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working both in person and remotely. As a J.U.i.C.E. intern, you’ll work with community leaders and artist facilitators to bring the artistic elements of hip-hop to life. You’ll gain real world experience in nonprofit arts management, help produce programs and events, and lead your own creative project that contributes to the local creative community.

J.U.i.C.E. is a hip-hop arts collective dedicated to building community and creativity. We provide a welcoming space where artists of all levels can express themselves through music, dance, and visual art, while connecting with others who share a passion for hip hop culture.
