The Advancement Department advances the chorale’s artistic, educational and community programs and goals through fundraising, partnership and coalition building and both policy and civic engagement. The Advancement Intern will provide coordination, clerical and creative support to a team of four. Duties will focus on the areas of special online events, working with artists, individual giving, grants and executive leadership. The intern will coordinate with the production, education and marketing teams. The position offers a breadth of exposure and experience to allow the intern to build their skills, clarify their career goals and develop meaningful connections in the arts field. The internship is for 400 hours; interns are expected to work 40 hours a week for 10 weeks from July through September. Position may be remote, depending on public health mandates related to Covid. This internship includes a stipend.
The ideal candidate will be responsible, organized, detail-oriented and have good communication skills. They must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with databases a plus. Interest in the arts and a potential arts career would be very helpful.
