The Business Intern will support Filipino American Symphony Orchestra (FASO)'s programs, concerts, and events through community engagement. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to learn how a nonprofit arts organization operates behind the scenes.
No prior experience in business or the arts is required, just a willingness to learn and contribute.
What you'll do:
- Learn basic administrative and organization tasks
- Learn how to create content for social media, newsletters, or flyers
- Learn how to support community outreach efforts
- Learn how to organize information and do research for events, fundraising, or business projects
- learn how nonprofit teams work together to prepare for big events and support programs
- Brainstorm creative ideas and work with a team.
Interns will work an average of 15 hours per week and will be supported by staff throughout the internship. They will check in with their supervisor and complete tasks based on a shared work plan.
Interns will:
- Attend staff or team meetings
- Support event preparation and basic outreach tasks
- Assist staff with day-to-day projects
- Build workplace skills such as teamwork, communication, organization, and responsibility.
- No previous experience is needed!
- Willing to Learn
- Comfortable working with others and trying new tasks
- Curiosity about how business or arts organizations are managed is a plus.
The Filipino American Symphony Orchestra (FASO) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating Filipino culture through music, education, and community engagement. Through performances, educational programs, and outreach initiatives, FASO provides meaningful artistic experience for diverse communities across Southern California.
