The Public Arts Intern will provide programmatic and marketing support to the Glendale Arts & Culture Commission’s public art initiatives including but not limited to: Adams Square Mini Park Gas Station Exhibits, Beyond the Box – Utility Box Mural Art Program, Brand Summer Music Series, Creative Crosswalks Program, Jewel City Concert Series, and Spotlight Series. This position will work approximately 20-30 hours a week from September 2026 – February 2027.
The Public Arts Intern will have a strong knowledge of: - Exceptional customer service practices - Exceptional written and verbal skills - Standard office procedures - Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) - Proficiency in graphic design software such as Canva and Adobe Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop) **highly desirable, but not required - Attention to detail The Public Arts Intern must also have an interest in: - Government sponsored arts initiatives - Marketing and communications - Arts and culture field (ex. performing arts, exhibitions, installations, etc.)
