Description

This position provides hands-on opportunities for the intern to acquire professional skills planning, creating, implementing and documenting creative projects in public/open spaces. Working 15-20 hours per week from June to February, the intern will help to create and tell stories through online and traditional media while gaining a well-rounded perspective in running a small, productive media and cultural production organization.

Qualifications

Applicant should be comfortable engaging with diverse cultures and audiences through various social media platforms and at in-person events.  Ideal person will also be open to learning new media technologies including video and sound editing platforms.  Research, writing and attention to detail are also required.  Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) capabilities an asset but not required. Knowledge of LA arts and cultural scene, diverse communities and neighborhoods Administrative/secretarial work experience  Strong writing/research background to support tasks Excellent correspondence, grammar, and editing skills Social media skills to support social media environment Moderate graphic design and photo editing skills Knowledge of, or willingness to learn and use MAC computer, Google Suite, Word, Excel, Quickbooks, I-Movie, Adobe Premiere, Mailchimp, Square Space, WordPress and other software/programs used by our organization.
