Description

This ARTISTIC OPERATIONS INTERNSHIP will offer meaningful, wide-ranging exposure to all artistic and operational levels of Los Angeles Children’s Chorus. LACC’s ARTISTIC OPERATIONS INTERN will assist with a number of professionally-managed processes, including our annual audition process (e.g., process enrollment mailings, communicating audition results, chorus invitations, registrations, etc.) Further, he/she/they will work with our Salesforce-based CRM system (PatronManager); support chorus managers with preparations for summer performances/tour; and participate in the planning process for our 2024|25 season. Our internships also engage participants in process-oriented projects that develop behind-the-scenes skills and marketable competencies that are broadly translatable to the job market within the arts nonprofit sector and beyond. This position will work approximately 20 hours a week from June 2024 through August 2024. 

Qualifications

The ideal intern candidate will:  - Possess an interest in music education and access to arts for young people; - Possess excellent verbal, written and organizational skills; - Act responsibly and with a friendly and professional demeanor; - Be inquisitive and willing to learn new skills; - Demonstrate familiarity with Microsoft Windows Office Suite; - Demonstrate a comfort level in learning to use our CRM database, Patron Manager. Experience with other software is desirable, but not required; - Apply acquired knowledge about LACC in daily interactions with staff; - Respect and maintain confidentiality.  Candidates should be motivated, sociable, collegial, dependable, and adaptable team players. LACC values intellectual curiosity and ability to offer a fresh perspective/ideas to accomplish tasks and realize goals.  Candidates should be prepared to work weekdays from 9:30AM - 5:30PM, with flexibility to accommodate possible weekend/evening activities. Some remote work will be allowed.
