MUSE/IQUE is hiring an Education and Community (EduCom) Intern to participate in cultivating current and new community/educational partnerships, and developing the companion materials to support in-person workshops and programming we bring to our partner organizations. Our EduCom Intern will be supervised by MUSE/IQUE’s EduCom Manager and work closely with the EduCom Associate. Together, this team will handle the planning, logistics, materials creation/editing, execution, and evaluation of in-person workshops called On the Road at multiple partner venues serving a variety of community members, including differently-abled adults, foster-youth, families experiencing homelessness, seniors, veterans, high school students, and more. In addition, the Intern will support the research, outreach, and cultivation of potential new EduCom partners, thus growing this core MUSE/IQUE program. The position will work 15-20 hrs/wk week June- November, with flexibility available for the right candidate.
MUSE/IQUE is seeking a driven, reliable, self-starting intern with honesty, integrity, and curiosity. Above all, the intern must have a deep desire to learn and a strong sense of initiative. Successful candidates are punctual and conduct themselves respectfully and with great attention to detail, work well under pressure, and are proactive in problem-solving with an ability to balance multiple tasks independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate has strong and effective written communication, organizational, and project management skills. Experience in music or the performing arts is a plus, with an active interest in education and community engagement. The intern must be available to work some evening and weekend hours at MUSE/IQUE events, and must have a reliable form of transportation and a current driver’s license. Parking and mileage for business travel will be reimbursed.
