The Fund Development and Marketing Intern will gain hands-on experience in fundraising, donor stewardship, and audience engagement. The intern will assist with donor database management, create social media and promotional content, and support the planning and execution of special fundraising events. They will also prepare donor acknowledgments, conduct prospect research, and help design event materials. Under the guidance of staff, the intern will track event expenses and assist with audience services on performance days. This part-time internship runs from June to October 2026 for approximately 20 hours per week, with some evening and weekend hours required.
Theatre West welcomes and encourages applicants from all academic backgrounds. The ideal candidate will have an appreciation for live theatre and a strong interest in fundraising and marketing. Applicants should be proactive, organized, resourceful, and comfortable generating and sharing ideas for continual improvement. Desired skills include familiarity with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Meet) for communication and content creation. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva is highly valued. Strong research and writing skills, along with confidence using social media platforms, are also important. Previous customer service, administrative, or event support experience is helpful but not required.
