Description

Urban Voices Project, a creative arts non-profit rooted in Skid Row, is hiring a Production Intern to support our robust, community-oriented music programming. The intern will serve in a range of production roles, including event inception, marketing and communications; on-site event support  in support of weekly music engagement programming as well as UVP’s signature annual performance, Coffeehouse, a community arts festival, A Holiday Called Home. Internship from June - December 2026 working 15-20 hours a week.

Qualifications

Experience with event planning and coordination Experience in the arts in any capacity Experience or interest in working with vulnerable populations   

Background

UVP provides music engagement programming to people experiencing homelessness to achieve higher success rates in navigating social services and health care. UVP offers weekly music engagement programming at health care clinics, social services and community spaces, connecting participants to necessary resources and facilitating relationships with service providers. Program facilitators are professional teaching artists, musicians, and music therapists guided by innovative wellness, social-emotional learning, and trauma-informed practices.
