Description

The Development Communications Intern will support our development-related communication activities such as: writing donor thank you notes, updating contact lists and sending personal invitations to supporters looking to engage in our community events, exhibitions or fundraisers. The intern will also work closely with our Development Manager and Communications Coordinator to collect data, testimonials, or media assets for our newsletters and mailings with the specific goal of engaging current and prospective donors.

Additional Duties

All Las Fotos Project staff and interns are expected to support our public events and workshops when possible. The interns may be asked to support these activities with duties such as attendee registration, greeting guests, event set-up and tear-down.

Qualifications

A deep interest in a Communications, Marketing or Public Relations degree or career. Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok (an understanding of utilizing social media insights tools a plus). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with graphic design, Canva or Adobe software is a plus.

Background

Las Fotos Project provides free photography mentoring and training to young women and gender-expansive youth. We have a deep-seeded value for social justice, healing and creating equity in the arts sector. The Photo Education Intern will have similar values and an interest in creating safe spaces for young women and gender-expansive youth.
