Description

Working jointly with the Artist-in-Residence and the Director of Resident Services, the MiCASA Art Education Intern will play a key role in developing and implementing an arts-based activity curriculum for LTSC’s MiCASA summer program. The intern will assist in designing creative lesson plans that integrate visual and performing arts into youth programming, support the facilitation of workshops and activities that encourage self-expression, and collaborate with staff to adapt curriculum to meet the diverse needs of participants. In addition, the intern will contribute to program administration by preparing materials, coordinating schedules, and documenting activities, while engaging directly with youth to foster leadership, teamwork, and confidence through arts education.

Additional Duties

Interns will participate in regular meetings with their supervisor and have the option of attending agency-wide staff building and professional development events such as a guided walking tour of Little Tokyo.
