Description

The Production and Archive Intern will receive hands-on training by supporting the logistics and management of our internationally recognized film festival. They will take a leading role in filmmaker coordination, digital archiving, and implementing the overall production plan. This position will work approximately 15-20 hours a week (mostly remote)from June 2026 through February 2027 with on the ground events in July, December - February, offering an intensive dive into professional arts event production.   
 

Qualifications

Required: Strong organizational and written communication skills are a must, as the role involves detailed logistical coordination and correspondence with filmmakers and vendors. The intern must demonstrate proficiency in standard office software. Preferred: A background or strong interest graphic design and social media as well as a background in film, media arts, dance, or archival studies is highly preferred, along with any experience using database management systems or digital asset platforms. Access to reliable transportation also preferred.

Dance Camera West (DCW) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the art of dance media by presenting the best contemporary dance films from around the world. For over 25 years, we have brought world-class screenings and educational events to Los Angeles audiences, fostering a vibrant community where movement and cinema intersect, and by producing work by LA based artists that are distributed around the world.
