The Visual Arts Program Intern will be key to supporting the success of our 10th Annual Comic Art and Literacy Expo (CALE) event, tentatively scheduled in March 2027, as well as our daily visual arts education programming. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to be immersed in arts education and administration, event production, civic engagement and graphic design. Working approximately 15-20 hours per week, the intern will work under the direction of the Visual Arts Program Specialist to facilitate classes, expositions, curriculum, and events. The Intern will work approximately 15-20 hours weekly beginning in August 2026 and culminating in February 2027.
Applicants should have knowledge of visual arts and be eager to continue learning from a team of established visual arts professionals. APCH Interns work in a fast paced environment and need a high degree of personal organization, self- motivation, and strong interest in working with young people alongside a team of fun and positive artists. The ideal candidate will embrace the APCH culture of continuous learning, consistently seeking to enhance systems and services for the benefit of employees and our constituents. They will also show a strong commitment to their own personal and professional development. All employees are expected to contribute to ongoing growth and improvement in their departments via excellent job performance. Additionally, interns are expected to speak up if you become aware of deficiencies and needs; and to offer solutions and make suggestions for improvements in their purview areas.

APCH provides after school programming and wraparound support for nearly 800 youth, from second grade through adulthood, and about 6,000 community members every year.
