Description

The Marketing Intern will support Angels Vocal Art’s opera productions and year-round programming by assisting with social media, digital content, audience outreach, and event support. This position offers hands-on experience in arts marketing, nonprofit administration, and community engagement, with opportunities to observe rehearsals and performances.  The internship will run from September 2026 through February 2027 at approximately 15–20 hours per week, combining in-person work at AVA’s Arcadia studio with occasional remote tasks.

Qualifications

Strong writing and communication skills are essential, along with attention to detail and an interest in the arts. The intern will be one of the public faces of AVA when interacting with audience members, donors, and venue personnel, so a friendly, welcoming, and professional demeanor is mandatory. Applicants should be comfortable engaging with people from diverse communities and demographics, and show a genuine interest in the performing arts.  Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok) and basic design tools such as Canva is preferred, though not required. Familiarity with video editing, website maintenance, or bilingual abilities is a plus.  A positive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn are the most important qualities. Prior experience in marketing, event planning, or the performing arts is welcome but not necessary.
