Culture Shock LA is seeking a motivated and creative intern to support our programs, marketing, and community engagement efforts. The intern will assist with program coordination, creation of social media and marketing content, event support, and outreach to community partners, gaining hands-on experience in arts administration and nonprofit operations. This position will work approximately 15–20 hours per week from August–December.
Desired skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Excellent writing skills. Outgoing and creative thinker. Self-starter able to work effectively both independently and with a team. Comfortable using a variety of social media platforms. Proficiency in internet-based research and use of Microsoft Office Suite. Flexible and able to multi-task. Knowledge of graphic design software.
Culture Shock Los Angeles is a nonprofit organization dedicated to using Hip-Hop dance and culture as a tool for education, enrichment, and community engagement. Through our programs, we aim to inspire positive change in the communities we serve. By emphasizing the positive aspects of Hip-Hop, we not only teach performing arts fundamentals but also foster leadership, teamwork, self-respect, and a strong work ethic.
