The Los Angeles Children’s Chorus Strategic Development and Campaign Intern will gain practical experience in nonprofit fundraising and campaign strategy while supporting the organization’s 40th Anniversary celebration. T The internship will focus on event coordination, donor engagement, and campaign impact analysis, with the intern developing valuable skills in project management, data interpretation, and stakeholder communication. If you are passionate about youth, the arts, and eager to make a meaningful impact, this internship will effectively prepare you to step into roles in the arts and nonprofit sectors. his position involves approximately 20–30 hours of work per week and takes place from September 2026 through February 2027.
The ideal candidate will be a current undergraduate student or recent graduate with a demonstrated interest in arts administration, fundraising, nonprofit management, or a related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including excellent attention to detail, are required, as is the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort using or learning design tools such as Canva is also required. The candidate must possess a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in the arts. Preferred qualifications include prior experience or an interest in learning about fundraising, communications, or nonprofit organizational management. Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems, such as Salesforce, is highly desirable. Experience with data analysis or visual presentation tools is also preferred.
Founded in 1986, Los Angeles Children’s Chorus (LACC) has grown from one ensemble of 50 choristers to annually serving 500+ youth (choristers) who travel from communities across Los Angeles County to our headquarters in Pasadena. LACC has appeared in 450+ performances with professional arts partners; introduced 3,500+ choristers aged 6-18 to a professional spectrum of musical language and dialect; and toured 20+ countries across 6 continents. In 2014, LACC received the nation's top award for choral music, Chorus America's Margaret Hillis Award for Choral Excellence. In April 2022, LACC was awarded a 2022 GRAMMY Award for Best Choral Performance. In January 2024, LACC launched a formal partnership with Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA) to activate LACC@HOLA, an extension of our Pasadena-based Choral Training Program that provides inclusive and accessible choral education to chronically underserved children on HOLA’s campus and at no cost to 100% of participating students.
