LANAIC | Addressing AIAN Homelessness

Homelessness is an issue that disproportionately impacts our Los Angeles American Indian and Alaska Native (AIAN) community. For too long, much was not formally known about the issues our relatives face, including true count and other characteristics.  As a result, the Los Angeles City/County Native American Indian Commission named addressing AIAN homelessness a priority in 2018. Since then, the LANAIC has worked to alleviate AIAN homelessness through advocacy to LA City and County governments, development of various publications and materials, as well as co-hosting webinars and community forums.
