Emily White

About

Emily White is an architect, artist and designer. She uses her multifaceted skill base to synthesize the physical and psychological context of a place to develop site-specific artwork. She uses digital modeling to produce a family of similar shapes and then assembles those pieces by hand, allowing intuitive decisions to be made spontaneously during production. White received her MArch from the Southern California Institute of Architecture where she currently teaches. She has exhibited nationally and internationally. Her public art commissions can be found in prominent collections throughout Southern California including the Skirball Cultural Center, City of Los Angeles and Pasadena Museum of California Art.
