Los Angeles County Bloomberg Arts Internship Program

Unlocking Creative Futures in Los Angeles County

Paid internships and college preparation for rising high school seniors in the arts and cultural sector.

About the BLoomberg Arts Internship (BAI)

The Bloomberg Arts Internship (BAI) is a paid summer internship program designed for rising public high school seniors. Generously supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies, BAI connects students with paid internships at local cultural institutions, where they will learn valuable skills that prepare them for success in higher education or any career field they may choose to pursue. Since 2012, the program has supported more than 1,900 internships at more than 250 cultural organizations across seven cities.

The BAI program will expand to Los Angeles County in 2026, as a cornerstone of the Department of Arts and Culture's Creative Career Pathways for Youth initiative.

Our goal is to foster the next generation of diverse arts and cultural leaders by offering equitable access to opportunities that can transform lives and build pathways to creative careers. The program will provide paid summer work experiences at arts and cultural institutions, focusing on career readiness, college preparation, professional development, and invaluable mentorship.
