The Music Production Intern will serve as a vital team member in the Music Department. Under the guidance of the Music Department Lead, the Production Intern’s primary focus will be the management of a robust and diverse catalogue of music classes and training, the production of the APCH album and the facilitation of music programming at the annual APCH Gala for the Children. This position will work approximately 20 hours per week for June 2024 - December 2024. This is a great opportunity for a creative individual to gain the following skills for both in-person performances and digital media: Advanced audio recording and production techniques, Project Management for live music performance and music education environments, Experience working with leading industry softwares, Music administrative skills involving licensing and copyrighting, equipment management, and production documentation, and Live Event Rehearsal and Production facilitation.

Applicants should have a high degree of personal organization, self-motivation, and strong interest in music production, performance and education.

A Place Called Home (APCH) provides a safe, nurturing environment with proven programs in arts, education and wellness for the young people in South Central Los Angeles to help them improve their economic conditions and develop healthy, fulfilling and purposeful lives. APCH's Digital Media Program's mission is to support students in expressing their creativity; use the arts as a vehicle for personal development; instill respect for all cultures; and provide intensive preparation for students interested in pursuing the arts professionally. APCH provides after school programming and wraparound support for about 700 youth, ages 8 - 24, and about 12,000 community members every year.
