"The Writers Guild Foundation is seeking a Community Programs Intern to support our flagship initiatives serving emerging writers from underrepresented backgrounds, including the Writers’ Access Support Staff Training Program, Veterans Writing Project, and Veterans Fellowship. Internship will run from September 2026 - January 2027 working 16 to 24 hours a week.
In this role, interns may help design promotional campaigns spotlighting program graduates, edit recorded footage for online distribution, conduct essential research to further program development, organize data from annual alumni surveys, and assist with event planning. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about promoting inclusion and equity in the entertainment industry.
This position requires approximately 16–24 hours per week, beginning in September and ending in December or January.
Candidates with experience in communications, social media, research, video editing, and equity and inclusion are preferred. Those with an interest in film and TV are encouraged to apply. Qualified applicants should be highly organized, friendly, and proficient in Microsoft Office.
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Writers Guild Foundation’s mission is to preserve and promote the history and craft of writing for the screen. Along with operating the Shavelson-Webb Library and Archive in Los Angeles, the Foundation hosts public events featuring notable TV and film writers as well as community outreach programs connecting writers with underserved communities.
