The Production Intern will work closely with production staff, as well as contracted designers, technicians, and craftspeople to see to the operations of the theater during the 60th Anniversary Season. Through this internship, they will work on productions and, as appropriate, special events. The intern will gain a thorough introduction to the inner workings of a mid-sized theater organization while learning specific skills in production, technical theater, project management, and logistics. They will work 15-20 hours per week from June 2025 through November 2025.
Applicants must feel a connection to the impact of EWP and have a desire to support the mission & work of the company; interest in and knowledge of AANHPI issues and/or issues of diversity, equity, access and inclusion in performing arts is a plus. The ideal candidate will have experience in technical theater, design, event planning/management, ability to multitask, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Must be proficient in internet research & MS Office. Experience in stage management, carpentry, rigging, lighting, or audio-visual technologies is a plus. Working knowledge of Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Lightwright, QLab, ETC Ion/Eos or other industry standard computer-aided drafting and show management software is desirable.
