A Noise Within is, in the words of the Los Angeles Times, “an oasis for those who love classic stories.” ANW presents enduring works that speak to the human condition; universal stories, retold by a representative cast, help people bridge the socio-political realities that divide us. We are the largest theatre in LA County that is led by a woman of color, hires exclusively local artists, and sets the standard in artist compensation. Underlying our success is a commitment to the principles on which ANW was founded: presenting classic texts in relevant ways, nurturing a company of artists, and live theatre as an essential element of a vibrant community life.
