Precision Dance Company is seeking an intern to assist with administration, planning, and implementation of its Annual Summer Programs which include a Summer Dance Camp, Summer Dance Showcase, and Summer Dance Intensive. Intern will handle day-to-day administration and take the lead on planning activities and events related to the Summer Programs. Intern will be able to complete 200 hours at the worksite-Precision Dance Company in the months of July and August. After returning to school, the intern will intermittently work on weekends (16 hours a week) at the worksite and remotely from school part time when travel to the office/worksite is not possible due to school conflicts. Intern will continue developing the assigned marketing plan and strategy, design and create marketing materials and promotional items which can be done both in office and remotely. When necessary supervision will be conducted via Zoom on a weekly basis, otherwise it will be conducted in person at the office. Intern will continue to provide instructional support and assistance for youth dance classes, which can also be done in person or remotely and will assist with the logistics of studio events and activities.
The intern should have basic office and computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher, very strong written and oral communication skills, and some experience with planning/coordinating events. Leadership experience (managing, directing, delegating in a job or organization) is recommended. Background dance training and experience is highly desired.
