This is an excellent opportunity for an intern to get real world hands on experience in the administration of one of the largest playwrights festival in the country. The Intern will create content for our festival website, playwright interviews, program information, press releases, cast lists, maintain rehearsal schedule, update playwrights and directors on festival progress and due dates, and other writing tasks associated with the festival. Ideally the Intern possesses graphic skills, and will also create festival program art. Additionally, since the festival will now be all online, the intern will assist producers during the broadcast of the festival. This position will work 30-40 hours per week from May 31 through August 31st They will work part time on site and part time remote. This internship offers a comprehensive tutorial on what it takes to create, manage and run an arts festival.
Meticulous attention to detail, great positive attitude, strong organizational and administrative skills (or interest), great phone and email etiquette, computer versed, ability to work under a deadline with grace and skill, strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work evening as well as days, ability to follow-through and be a team player. Some graphics and editing skills a plus. Intern will need to provide their own car for transportation to and from the workspace and performance venues(Our home a the NoHo Senior Arts Colony and The Lankershim Arts Center.
