The Music Education Programming Intern will work at Harmony Project to plan and implement programs and activities scheduled to take place during our Fall and Winter program cycles. This position will work approximately 15 to 20 hours per week from August 2025 to February 2026.
Prospective candidates for the Music Education Programming Intern position should possess strong verbal and written communication skills, prioritize attention to detail, and have the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. In addition, the ideal candidate will be creative, enthusiastic, and outgoing. They will also need to be capable of working both independently and alongside program personnel, volunteers, and other community stakeholders. Prior experience using Microsoft Excel and Word (or their Google equivalents) will be necessary. Furthermore, a background in music and/or fluency in Spanish are highly desired but not required for this position.
Harmony Project implements tuition-free music education programming that aims to promote the academic success and social emotional development of underserved K-12 students residing within Los Angeles County. We believe that combining rigorous music instruction with a robust social support network empowers children and youth (between the ages of five through 18 years old) to become creative thinkers and confident learners capable of realizing their full potential. Our music curriculum is designed for students of all ages/skill levels and covers one of four separate musicianship tracks, including Instrumental, Music Production, Percussion, and Vocal.
