"The Glendale International Film Festival Program Intern will play a key role in supporting all aspects of planning and operations for the 11th edition of the festival, ensuring that all GIFF programs and events run smoothly.
The intern must be quick-thinking, resourceful, responsible, flexible, and an excellent communicator. Remaining organized while handling and cross-referencing high quantities of film, festival schedule, and program detail is critical.
The hybrid position involves a mix of remote work and in-person collaboration with an anticipated start date of mid-to-late June 2025. In-person participation is required during the festival, from September 25-30, 2025. The position will begin with 15–20 hours per week, increasing to 40 hours during the week leading up to the festival and week of the festival itself.
The intern must possess strong organizational skills and a good working understanding of Excel/Google Sheets as a big part of the job is to input, organize, analyze, and track high volumes of data and information, ensuring that all project-related metrics are accurately maintained. Additionally, the intern should know how to conduct effective Google searches, communicate clearly, and write well. Knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, is a plus. The intern should be able to work as a team member and communicate effectively while remaining organized and detail-oriented. Familiarity with Canva is also a plus.
