Justice for My Sister is seeking a passionate Program Intern to support key initiatives that strengthen connections within our artistic community. This hybrid position requires 15-20 hours per week between July 1 to December 15, 2025. The ideal candidate will have an interest in community outreach, event coordination, and nonprofit program management, with a focus on engaging teaching artists, mentors, and alumni. You will assist with organizing our workshops, mentorship initiatives, and outreach efforts to ensure continued support and engagement in our arts programs.
 

Qualifications

The candidate for the Programs Intern should have a strong interest in community outreach, arts education, event coordination, and nonprofit program management. They should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid (remote/in-person) environment, and strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Familiarity with scheduling tools, research methods, and coordination platforms like Zoom is important. Experience or interest in the arts education for various ages, nonprofit sector, or community-based projects is a plus.

Background

Justice for My Sister is a nonprofit arts organization that empowers underrepresented filmmakers to tell stories of justice and liberation. Based in Los Angeles County, our programs provide training and access to the TV & Film industry for filmmakers of color, while also offering healing-centered arts education to marginalized communities.
