Your initial OGP application, Year 1 Report and Year 2 Report provide a record of your project from conception through completion. The Department of Arts and Culture encourages you to continuously reflect on your work, address emergent challenges and is open to your implementing changes to the project within the grant period as necessary.
OGP supports over 400 arts organizations of all budget sizes and disciplines. The Department of Arts and Culture values the diversity and vitality of our grantees, and we strive to communicate the impact of your work, using both quantitative data—with numbers you provide us and data from the California Cultural Data Project—and qualitative efforts—through quotes, stories and images.
The Department of Arts and Culture wants to learn about your challenges and experiences to support your organization more effectively. We strive to provide grantees with professional development opportunities that address the needs of the arts community. By sharing with us your challenges and lessons learned, we have a better understanding of those needs.
- Year 1 Report focuses on the process of implementing and measuring your OGP project. You will report on what you expect from the funded OGP project, how you define success and how you will keep track of your progress. You will also report on the kinds of activities you have completed so far. You should communicate how you are reflecting on the progress of the OGP project.
- Year 2 Report focuses on the overall outcome of the two-year OGP project. You will report on the outcomes of the OGP project, the impact of the OGP project on your organization and any challenges. You should communicate your overall reflections about the OGP project and address any significant lessons learned for the future.
Organizations must provide quantifiable data about participation and project reach via this section in the report form.
