Coyotes/LongMigration3.0, 2021, Mixed media installation

In Long Migrations 2.0, I collected shoes from street encampments and transitional spaces and combined them with shoes from my family. I was thinking about the movement from a biblical Hell to the hell that can be the process of bodies moving from one land top another. I was looking into ways for healing this kind of painful movement. Coyotes/ LM 3.0 is a fraternal sequel to Long Migrations 2.0, where sneakers encased in cement blocks with LED lights and masks embedded in concrete play off the stories that coyotes generate in all cultures.
